A family of opossums visited recently. This time of year my garden usually gets an abundance of snails and worms – because of the rain. But this year, none! I guess they had an absolute feast. My overwintering succulents and Canna plants were not eaten to the ground. So spring flowering will be awesome.
While holidaying in India we’ve been delighted watching squirrels (from NZ which has no native land mammals, so these are very novel!).
We despise our introduced possums but mostly because they’re hard to keep in check. I imagine native ones are much better?
Yes. A sign of a healthy native ecosystem!
My favorite hobby is returning to weekly events after an extended holiday break.

Weather here has been super warm, so I actually got in some yard work. Miss hearing the birds though.
