My party made a post on instagram condemning the invasion of Venezuela, and they actually said that Maduro and Chavez improved the lives of Venezuelans. I’m positively surprised. Of course some libs in the party are complaining about that, and the group chat is fighting over if Maduro deserves support
Gusanos have been trying for years to fabricate this myth that Venezuela was prosperous before Chavez, there is no doubt that people’s lives have improved under the chavista period, there have been bad times due to the oil shocks and subsequent economic blockades by Empire but they’re overall on a better spot.
I saw that too and I thought wow that is a bold stance to take even for Bij1. The comments are wack though but it can be expected with a big tent party like Bij1. Unfortunately you will get a lot of radlibs.

I kinda hate how so many libs online are having a meltdown saying fascism has started in the US now while they have been exporting death everywhere for decades and still live on stolen land acquired by genocide. It’s only them that are the targets now.
Well, that is what fascism ultimately is: imperialism turned inward.
They never had a problem with the death and destruction so long as it was foreigners dying and foreign lands being destroyed. Now it’s their coworkers and their neighborhoods and suddenly there’s an urgent, pressing concern to act. And even then they can’t find the courage to do anything more than walk around shouting dumb slogans for a few hours until the KKKops gas them.
I’ve always thought the most immoral people are the ones who ignore suffering rather than inflict it. Liberals just reinforce this belief with their every deed and action.
I think thats true for a lot of Western liberals generally. But a lot of liberals still do care about the wellbeing about people in other countries. They just have no actual comprehension about imperialism as a system and how they benefit from it as citizens of empire. Not saying their ignorance is excusable, but it’s what allows their compassion to be weaponized at whatever foreign boogeyman is next in empire’s scope. (“The Ukraine War is Russia’s fault,” “Uyghurs,” “Trump kidnapping Maduro is wrong but Maduro is still a meanie poo-poo head”)

I had a lengthy discussion with my father in law regarding joining defence when Russia would invade Europe. I wouldn’t do it and he said he would do it actually.
Anyway, this conversation is now playing in my head but then with a possible US invasion of Europe. And I don’t know if I’d NOT do it, really. Not that I really want to die for Europe either, but in an anti imperialist way it could make sense.
First of all framing it as “when” Russia invades implies it is some inevitability when it is one of the least likely scenarios imaginable.
Secondly, it would not have anything to do with anti-imperialism to fight on behalf of reactionary, imperialist Europe. Even if you saw Russia as being equally as bad as Europe, the correct position in that case would be to adopt Lenin’s revolutionary defeatism.
But Russia isn’t equally bad. They are on the side of virtually all anti-imperialist states in the world right now. Europe is all-in on imperialism and Nazism. An “invasion” of Europe by Russia would be a liberation from the fascist EU and imperialist NATO. I would rather sabotage my own country from the inside and try to join the Russian forces first chance i get.
As for the US attacking Europe, anyone who thinks that Europe would do anything other than roll over and lick the master’s boots is deluding themselves. They would not even put up any resistance. European militaries are practically non-existent and non-functional without NATO systems, and the US controls it all.
Not to mention the total economic and energy dependence of Europe on the US. The US imposes a blockade on Europe and everything in Europe freezes. Europe has zero strategic autonomy, we gave the last final drop of it up when we let the US bomb Nordstream.
If the US decided to march into Greenland tomorrow and annex it, the EU would put out a strongly worded letter and a week later be back to unequivocally supporting whatever the US does around the world.

The funny thing about Europe is that despite their ruling class sharing the same ghoulish values as the US, they might actually be the only ones with egos big enough to put up an actual fight. I’ve been seeing some US/EU discourse where each calls the other entitled and snobbish. Of course, that’s not something I’m going to bet on though.
In all honesty I don’t think the other NATO members will be thrilled to alt f4 themselves over Greenland and Trump knows it
Its the old argument on the foolishness of NATO expansion. Mutually Assured Destruction was always horrific but the west was aligned that it would be necessary if say, Germany or France were lost to the USSR. The same cannot be said of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. Can any westerner say with a straight face that they’d be willing to end humanity over an occupation of Riga?
NATO is dead the second the US attacks I guess. It will be a US faction versus whoever is the target or stupid/stubborn enough to defend the other NATO target.
If other EU countries can they will absolutely join the US to prevent being attacked themselves.
There’s technically more legal justification for the US to invade the Netherlands than for Russia to. “Invasion of the Hague” act and all.

I hate erdoğan as much as every other young person in turkey but if the us kidnapped him I wouldn’t celebrate. Why do they still celebrate despite trump literally openly stating they are coming for their oil?
These gusanos are mostly those with the means to leave the country. They’re the small portion of the population from the major cities with decent jobs who’s standard of living was much higher than the majority. In this way, they benefited from the neo-colonial structure. They see the socialist project as having taken their privilege and they will do anything to get it back.
