Hi there, I’m 21 and live in the UK. My whole life I’ve essentially wanted to move to Tenerife and this year I’ve decided I am going to take action to do it.

I wish to work while living over there - ideally working in entertainment at a hotel which offers me accommodation included.

However I am unsure on the route to take to actually legally move over there since Brexit had very obviously made it a bit more difficult.

What type of visa would I need and how would I get that visa (would the employer need to apply for it on my behalf?)

What other documents do I need to legally move and work over there?

And just general advice on how to get the process started would be amazing, thank you in advance!

The easiest options for you to temporary live on the Island would be to volunteer or to become an Aupair.

It’s no Island but you may be interested in working in a small country like Monaco or San Morino. Since your from the UK you can work there for up to a year.

You do know they are volcanoes right?

Nothing against those wishing to got here for a couple years etc… but getting to choose your international living situation you’d think a 5% chance for 100% destruction would make other places seem better.

And yes 1 in 20 lifetimes is being very positive as most of the major volcanoes in Tenerife have 10-150 year eruption cycles. (1-2 lifetimes)

Work visa, you have to have a job and a degree so the employee can justify hiring you and not a local person (quite hard with local unemployment rate).
