I met Lester Hayes signing autographs when I was like 10 or 11 at a Walmart. It was a tough loss and so I looked sad and my dad told him I was bummed about the game. He looked around, then pulled out a fanny pack and inside he had his two Super Bowl rings, and he let me wear them. Definitely my all time favorite time meeting a player.
And he said “I won 2 TIMES, so you get to wear the ring 2 TIMES. But don’t run off, because then I’ll have to catch ya. And you don’t want that.” He was just a really cool dude.
