My wife and I are travelling to London in time for the Sheffield game Dec 16 (coming from Canada). What’s the best way for us to purchase tickets, it seems so complicated. My question is, do I need to get 2 memberships for each one of us and then get our tickets? Or can I be a member and get 2 tickets? (Are there even any tickets left?)
My other option would be livefootballtickets, which I know people say are sketchy, but recently I’m hearing more positive reviews than bad. Please let me know
Probably cheaply after today…
If you’re willing to spend a bit more champions travel have some great hospitality packages which can turn it into a bit of an experience if you’re a one off visitor. Used them before for a prem league game last time I was back in the UK
I would recommend that you purchase a hospitality package. Overall, it’s a more complete experience and doesn’t require as much “luck” to getting a couple of seats together without multiple memberships. Link below is directly to the Chelsea FC Hospitality Page. Have fun!
The Dugout Club is equal to 4 - 5 months my salary
That’s the way I did it when visiting and CL match got reschedule to day I was going to be in London. Bought them day before. Was worth it!
Demand for premier league tickets is very high, for a one off and especially as you’re travelling from overseas I’d try the club direct. They’ll sell tickets via hospitality and as it’s Sheffield United there’s a chance they haven’t sold out yet.
I did this same thing last year for the Bournemouth game.
You have to get memberships for the both of you and then scour the ticket exchange for two tickets next to each other. It took me about a week, but it ended up working out.
When you get your memberships, you can link them together so one person can buy tickets for the two of you.
The good thing is if you buy your membership and don’t use it for literally anything, you can return it within two weeks. So say you don’t find any seats together, you can return it and it’s basically back to square one.
Dont
I would assume Chelsea operate a similar system to most clubs that have demand issues.
For pretty much any official game it’ll be a case of 1 membership = 1 opportunity to buy a ticket.
What I mean by that is, simply obtaining a membership doesn’t give you any guarentee of actually being able to purchase 1 ticket, let alone 2 together. On their website they’ll likely have windows of what dates each of their membership tiers go on sale, or on ballet, and you have to follow those dates accordingly. The last official route you’ll have is some kind of ticket exchange where season ticket holders sell on their tickets to the members market. Again, demand for these will be high and it’ll be unlikely you’ll get two together unless you get “club level”, but these are usually 2-3x price of a normal top price ticket at minimum.
I know some clubs operate official channels for overseas fans so it might be worth checking these out before you take the gamble of a touted reseller market.
I visited London recently and got lucky by joining my local (country) fan page. They got allocated a very small amount of tickets and it was first in first serve. It might pay to check if you have a Canadian Chelsea fan club.
For what it’s worth I also used that website you listed to purchase a ticket for the emirates cup match, and it came through fine and I had no issues getting in.
Fuck Chelsea, Chelsea is shit
Will have to go to approved secondary sites. Even if u get menberships. U wont have enought points on it to buy
