Honestly, what the fuck is going on with Ten Hag and United players? Within a season and a half, he has fallen out with Ronaldo, De Gea, Sancho, and Varane, there are even rumors about Casemiro problems. You could say that Ronaldo has a big ego and Sancho is a spoiled brat, but the other two have been model professionals for their entire career up to this point.
We know for a fact that a good manager must be authoritative, but I feel this is going too far. Honestly, this might be the best argument against ETH, not the results. His ego looks gigantic which is necessary to be successful at this level, but you need to control yourself enough to keep the players on your side.

A bunch of players got overpaid to come to a team that no longer automatically wins things. New coach comes in and shakes things up with tactics that demand hard work in training and have questionable success.

I dunno. Sounds like a recipe for everyone getting along.

I see a lot of Ten Hag fanboys and his discipline. The question being, is that recipe a guarantee of winning?

I mean see the guys at Madrid, especially the brazilians. What they do on the pitch is not reflected off the pitch.

Do you believe Salah, Mane, Henderson are people to keep their heads down when things go wrong and just nod to everything ?

It’s pretty clear to anyone with eyes that the dressing room harmony at manc reds is terrible.

When Bruno Fernandes is the most professional player warranting the captain’s armband it doesn’t bode well for the rest of the team. Baldy asserting his authority just means everyone’s rubbing each other the wrong way.

Why as a “top” level footballer would you want to work in a miserable authoritarian environment? New players aren’t performing because they aren’t enjoying their time and older players have one eye on a move elsewhere.

Also on Varane, once Martinez is and Shaw are back fit it’s believed he’ll be restored, but currently with the makeshift defence he is seen as weak under the press by other sides and there isn’t the composure from Martinez or Shaw to assist him

I think the idea Varane will play again once Martinez/Shaw return is absolutely laughable

He’s very very obviously fallen out of favour with the manager.

Even if you accept the left foot/right distinction (which is bollocks but ETH clearly buys into it) then why can Maguire partner Evans but Varane can’t? It’s not like Martinez is a physical behemoth who makes up for Varane’s weaknesses.

Hes fallen out with the manager and wants to leave. It’s obvious

To be honest, I think it is not only about EtH and players, all the players that you’ve mentioned are on highest wages in the club (each of them earns more than 300k a week) I feel like it is club itself wants to get rid of these players and maybe promised EtH replacements after. For example, there were rumours that Man Utd may bring Todibo and Thuram from Nice (Sir Jim’s club, new co-owner of ManUtd). Todibo is a centrback (Varane replacement?) Thuram is a midfielder (Casemiro replacement?)

Please stop reading the exaggerated bullshit that a lot of these media outlets are spewing.

There was no falling out with De Gea.The United board handled his leaving very poorly which is the cause of the way his departure happened from United.

Media has transformed Varane not being in the first 11 -> Relationship between ETH and Varane being broken.

Casemiro had a lot of injury problems and to be honest, had a very poor start to the season. Media has again blown that out of proportion into saying relationship is gone bad.

A lot of these news outlets sensationalize the headlines and the articles because United is a big club and such strong news garners attention.

Ronaldo and Sancho cases are very self explanatory and everyone who knows the actual situation know that ETH is in the right in both of those.

It’s interesting because last week The Athletic we’re saying the exact opposite re ETH vs Varane, but now The Daily Mail are saying there are issues and everyone is jumping all over it.

Except a lot of the reports came out before they stopped being played. It massove copium to pretend there isn’t an issue. Ten Hag is falling out with players because he is terrible man manager with an ego every bit as big as Ronaldo’s but without the skills, as a player or a manager, to back it up. It is easy to be like that at Ajax and Utrecht and get away with it. Not so much at a club like United.

its the same with big clubs. Media trys to gas light people.

A few days Gundogan complained that our players have weak mentality which is a solid point. There were no issues afterward. Yesterday reporters said to Xavi that Gundogan wants to join Saudi in January but Xavi laughed and said he is looking for a house here, lol

Not a Man Utd but it’s so true. Everything works in clicks these days so the more clicks you’re able to get the more money you make. Because Man Utd are a massive worldwide club with millions of fans they’re going to get a lot of clicks so media outlets will write anything for the attention. It’s a sad world we live in sometimes

Because he seems like a giant prick and so do most of the players. Not surprising then, assuming that is indeed the case, that heads are clashing.

He’s doing nothing wrong. He’s simply putting his own stamp on things and clearing out the egos from the dressing room who are holding back the project. Arteta did similiar when falling out with Ozil, Leno and Aubamayueng. The experts were calling him foolish then but they are quiet these days. Ten Hag is making progress and United are finally acting like a serious club after a decade of masquerading as a millionaires retirement home.
