“The Road” by Cormac McCarthy held me captive, staying up all night immersed in its pages, awakening the next morning with a lingering sense of melancholy. Stephen King’s works, especially “The Shining,” share that unique ability to make you eagerly anticipate the next page, constantly wondering what twist awaits.

Insomnia, quite the mysterious feeling it tends to roll in waves for me too. Still figuring out why Hopefully, it’s not bothering you too much. “The Prisoner of Azkaban” is hands down my all-time favorite, both the book and the movie. It felt like Rowling turned a new fold in her writing it no longer felt completely like a children’s book but for all to read

I try to learn and deal with it. Luckily, it doesn’t happen too often, usually just once or twice per month. In the past I would get more and more frustrated and agitated the longer I was awake, trying to force myself to sleep (which obviously only makes it harder to fall asleep). Nowadays when it happens I try to just accept it, I put on some relaxing music and read a bit.

Yeah, exactly! That’s why I love it as much as well. It’s also my favorite film of the series. Unlike Chris Columbus before him, Alfonso Cuarón really made the material his own.

With all the controversy surrounding Rowling, I sometimes forget that the novels did really bring me a lot of joy and comfort. Nice to be reminded of that thanks to conversations like these :)

Yay. Prisoner of Azkaban was my fav too, followed by Goblet of Fire. Unfortunately Half Blood Prince was ruined for me due to internet spoilers :(
