We aren’t getting Maye or Williams unless they drastically tank their draft stock or the Raiders trade an insane amount of picks.
Of the QBs the Raiders could reasonably get I’d prefer McCarthy or Jayden Daniels. McCarthy’s the better plug in and play candidate plus he has a cannon and it’d be great to see him throwing to some of our receivers. Daniels has a crazy amount of potential but I think you really need a play caller that’s going to shape the offense around his abilities.
I like the idea of Mcarthy especially if Harbaugh comes with him 😬🤷🏻♂️. I know I know we’re all enamored with Pierce but let’s not act like Harbaugh doesn’t make us immediate contenders. Antonio could work but I believe would have a ceiling. The question I believe is what are we trying to win? Are we trying to be a respectable 10-11 wild card team? Or are we trying to dethrone and compete with the chiefs and get to the Super Bowl? AP ain’t gonna scare Andy Reid and Mahomes… Harbaugh I think makes them at least a little worried.
One of the things that concerns me about Harbaugh is the Vikings choosing Kevin O’Connell over Harbaugh. One of the reported reasons that the Vikings had for choosing O’Connell over Harbaugh is that Harbaugh turned up with basically no plan in mind other than “I’m Jim Harbaugh I’ll figure it out” whereas O’Connell came in with a fully laid out strategy on how he was going to build the team for success. We’ve just come off one HC whose plan revolved around believing he was simply inherently better than everyone else, it’d be nice for a change of pace.
That’s a good point. I do like the idea of Jim having the opportunity to draft his QB and develop. We’ll see how Pierce does down the stretch. I just feel like having 2 Super Bowl winning coaches in the division adds more pressure to swing for the fences as opposed to being content with fighting for wild cards which will become even more difficult with the Broncos starting to ball. At this point we are fighting to not finish last smh. 🏴☠️

Never know. Raiders can also move up

Harbaugh does not make us ‘immediate contenders’
