I am watching Sky Sports pre-match show now, and everybody on the table saying this 10-point deduction was harsh, and if you want to punish people, punish the owners and this and that…

I get it, Man City has over 100 allegations, and Chelsea has some too but that doesn’t change the fact Everton is in the wrong as well, personally, I think they will be fine even with the points deductions there are teams worse than them and they are playing well enough to be safe till the end of the season.

And if the end of the day, it’s proven Man City and Chelsea are also in the wrong, punish them, simple as that.

I just don’t get the feeling of “oh poor lads, they don’t deserve this…” Please, we have teams in history that suffered way more than a simple 10-point deduction and the level of outrage wasn’t near the same. We have teams that played in the Premier League out of league football because of poor management.

I don’t feel sorry for Everton as they have done something wrong and been punished.

However I don’t think the punishment matches the crime, and the FFP have set a standard and need to keep to it.

If city and Chelsea’s allegations turn out to be true, it’s a potential of 119 points to be dropped 🤷🏻‍♂️ according to FFP.

There is absolutely no chance city gets any real punishment even if found guilty on every charge.

Feel sorry for Everton now, because unless you support one of the big six, there’s a good chance you will be feeling sorry for yourselves later.

Well we don’t expect sympathy from Leeds fans anyways, but other fans might not have the same hangups. For the record, we’re guilty, no ones denying that, its the disproportionate nature of the punishment

Because if they get relegated, they will more than likely go bankrupt and never recover. Which isn’t good for Football in general. And this is coming from a Liverpool fan.

Everton were working with the FA for years, were told how close they were to breaking it, yet they still spent knowing that they will break it. Its on nobody but Evertons owners.

They were deemed to have gotten a sporting advantage by overspending and breaking the rules knowingly, whilst other teams kept within the rules and were relegated. Its tough shit.

          I just read the report.

Did you not read this part?

Which bit of “sporting advantage will have been enjoyed for each of the seasons on which the PSR calculation was based – in this case, because of Covid, four seasons” Do you not understand?

Do yourself a favor and control+F and search for it. Page 29, paragraph 95.

Because people don’t think City and Chelsea will be punished to the same extent even if found guilty.

It’s a narrative for a season that will probably be defined by Man City walking their umpteenth win.

Sky always tries to portray themselves on the side of the fan. They’ve been constantly on about owners at all levels because who the hell cares about rich people, but we can of course relate to the football fan.

They did it during the Super League debacle even though it was nothing to do with the will of the fans, it was that they do not have the rights to it and their business would have went under.

    1. 10 point is a ridiculously large amount, particularly considering by all accounts they’ve apparently been quite forthcoming in the process of investigation

    2. Nobody believes Man City or Chelsea, despite far bigger and somewhat flagrant rulebreaking will be punished anywhere near as harshly

    3. It was just over a bit extra money for work on their stadium, not some massive conspiracy moves

Don’t get why they are protesting either doesn’t make sense! They cheated admitted it and they are saying the league is corrupt. If they were protesting when city have won everything then fair enough they should be protesting against moshirj cuz the report is shocking about the numerous warnings they were told about before the charge. And you can’t say it’s about city and Chelsea cuz they haven’t been seen to or decided yet. And all waving around red signs when you are playing United is very strange.

Ah yes because feeling bad for a team that was on the up before the point deduction is definitely irrational behavior. Useless post.

What was worse Everton breaking FFP and be open about it with the premier league, or 6 clubs trying to force through a European Super League which would have broken the fairness of the English game forever?

If it’s the latter then where are the deductions for those clubs?

because people are fucking idiots they blatantly broke the rules and city are under investigation for different breaches but they don’t have the iq to differentiate between the 2 cases
