AOC was solid. defense just folded and 2nd half play calling on offense was bad. AOC was making some really good throws. He has a laser, and when the O line gives him time he makes it happen. Have to remember his play caller is a guy whose never called plays in his whole career. He has an elite arm and his potential is sky high.

The clowns saying “he sucks move on already” clearly don’t know what they’re talking about.

He might not be the future franchise QB. But to say that its a sure thing he’s not the guy is outright stupid. He can make every throw on the field, if he had a real O coordinator he would be balling out.

AP needs to tear into Bo. He’s had time to draw up his own playbook by now,and burn McDipshits. Totally agree about AOC. Nothing looks too big for him,and he can make all the throws.

He’s not playing well enough to pass up drafting one of the Qbs in this next draft.

Oh another thing, it seems pretty clear watching All-22 that teams are sitting down on everything in front of them once AOC has to move at all because they don’t respect his arm at all off-platform. There was actually a play where the safety completely gave up on a streaking Tucker because AOC had to move. He completed a check down and I’m sure you’re thinking “oh nice completion”, but really a top-10 QB is completing that pass to Tucker.

Is that the play where he ran a post to the middle of the end zone? I saw him running all on his own as the check down was being completed.

I like AOC but he is not the answer. In the spring the Raiders will be picking a QB. AOC is a good backup! Nothing wrong with that. This is the hand we and he was dealt. In today’s NFL you need a mobile QB. I’d like Pierce back though

I’ve watched all of his starts, some multiple times, and I watch a lot of other NFL stats:

    1. He doesn’t have a “laser”. His arm is mid at best.
    2. His arm isn’t elite. It’s bottom half of the league
    3. I haven’t seen him make a single throw that most QBs can’t make.

So that’s really it. You’re seeing something very different than what everyone else, including NFL scouts and GMs, are seeing so it shouldn’t be surprising that your conclusions are very outside of the consensus.

I will note that is ironic to see this post after a game where he skipped a 15 yard pass because he was slightly off platform and couldn’t get his hips into it. Backups are making that throw from the wrist in today’s NFL.

Why can’t we just for once draft a QB in the first round and try to get a high ceiling player at that position? Especially considering our division rivals… Because we failed in 2007?

AOC isn’t very mobile. All I see is accuracy and some poise. Awareness at times is lacking. You can find that in the first round. Plus we don’t even have to move off him. If we draft a bust, he’s still there as a solid backup.

The Raiders need to take big swings to get back to relevancy. We don’t need to build with a 4th round, physically limited QB. Let’s build with something better

I hope we don’t. Trevor Lawrence is starting to look good after 2 years. Jalen Hurts came into his own late last year on a very, very good Eagles after being drafted in 2020. Lamar has been in the league since 2018, has an MVP but no rings, Josh Allen came out the same year and hasn’t made it past KC yet. Anyone we draft will have to be an MVP by week four or this toxic community will kill them faster than the NY city media. We will shred any young kid’s mental health faster than Ryan Leaf lost his mind. We have our current 1st round pick for 5 years and he’s coming off a bad injury. Did we take him earlier than he should have been taken? Yes. Is that his fault? No. Does our fan base rip on him constantly and did they label him a bust after his second game? Hell ya we did. Active QBs with Superbowl rings. Aaron Rodgers, Joe Flacco, Nick Foles, Mathew Stafford, Russell Wilson, and Patrick Mahomes. Oh, and some guy named Garoppolo has 2 rings but didn’t play. You win the Superbowl with a great team and a good QB. The only QB this fan base will be happy with we play twice a year.

Today proved we need to build both lines. We have one good player on OL and one good player on DL, reinforce that in the draft, sign Baker Mayfield and let him and 4 battle it out

AOC isnt mobile enough to run for yard gains like other NFL QBs or scramble with enough mobility to dodge some grabs and doesnt have the arm strength to be able to take steps back and throw it. This next draft we can draft a potential QB starter and we might have to draft a mobile backup as well.

It sucked with Carr, it sucked with McDaniel, it sucked with Garapolo, and it sucks now. Everyone is a backup except for Miller.

Not mobile enough for today’s NFL. He can make some throws, but he needs an elite o-line.to help him out. Raiders don’t have one.
