  • Sorry, wall of text… I accept I have a nearly intractable position, however I dont need to have a docturate in theocracy to recognise the crutch it has served people to make sense of who they are and where they are and the conditions they live in and justify the unaccountable misery it has caused people.

I also have studied some history to see the religious conflicts that have been going on in eurasia for the last 4500-3000 years. My experience biased and my gaps are africa and pre-colonial americas (as you see with my hand wave of animist and totemist). Using religion to hold power over others I find unacceptable and I do not believe that a theocracy is a desirable form of government. This is a religious class ruling over the people.

To have no acknowledgement of the religous classes that ruled over swathes of people, and rules over people to this day, seems folly. A child born into this world has no way to seperate themselves from the religion of their parents and their community and that pains me.

  • Religion has been a moral burden on humanity and something we need to atone for at some point. I come from europe, and which flavor of christianity you believed in was enough of a cause to go to war. It has been the cause of an insurmountable amount of suffering and death.

It was majestic walking into a cathedral for the first time and I have not even been near the vatican or avignon, but knowing that it was the hand of man that built it, in the name of a religious-moral compass, imagine if that labor was pointed towards building a better world for us.

A kibbutz is an intentional community. The original kibbutz were intended to be a mixture of socialism and zionism, a distinctly jewish agricultural community. Today, they are still intentional zionist communities and lack socialist characteristics, but as we have seen from the documented building of these in lands that are intended to be transferred to palastinian authority, serve as a hardened border to contain Palastians.

  • This is a consequence I think of the usage of the word ‘state’, where people cannot see past the state-conflict label which is usually desrcibed as imperialism (because its capitalists using the state to extract commodities from other states). People are misinformed and under educated.

The challenge with ‘socialism in one country’ as a descriptive is that to me it feels like a myopic lens if used to then describe the international class conflict. As state conflicts throughout history (ignoring things like peasant republic, theocracy, and so on) are usually the learned exploitation of capitalist colonialism, nationalism or imperialism. As uneducated people project the other class/state-conflicts with that ‘understanding’ they then mischaracter the PRC as “state capitalism” or the USSR as “socialist imperialism”.

Precicely, and the conditions in which to use state power must be created. There needs the ability to fully mobilise the productive forces of Palastians. This is not possible today with the atomized Palastian land, today recognised as the Palastine’ west bank, typically referred to as “area C”. The only entity capable of utilising that productive capacity is Israel. The ability for the working class of Palastian to sieze state power will be through class struggle.

It is urgent and acute that the means in which to sieze that productive capacity are built through international solidarity, and not through the believe that a state can be formed ‘up’ out of a collection of open air prisons.

  • What is a country or state?

Most definitions people use, will define Israel as a country or state, that is colonising another state.

It is colonising land that should be ‘gradually transferred to Palestinian jurisdiction’ built on the failure and failure and failure of political representation of palastinians over the political interests of the Israeli state, which has been to deny the existance of a palastian state by any and all means neccessary.

Rabat and Netanyahu interpreted the Oslo accords in such a way as to define the secruity border extra-territorially, as in a border beyond that of the state, to constraint the development of Palastine to nothing more than a walled bantustan, akin to an even atomized KwaZulu.

  • I’ve been struggling with work, with an uninspired boss and an unguided boss’s boss. I had so much energy when I started this role but I question myself and what I can achieve here. It occupies so much of my time and energy and this is all happening when I know we are running towards climate disasters with no action, and with people ‘enjoying’ 30c weather at the end of September. Don’t look up.

And then we have the utterly untrustworthy US Americans that openly pillaging everything and ““centrist”” governments debating if they can form a fascist government with the far right all over europe.

Fight the fight comrades, we have much to do.
