I have a PS5 with PlayStation Plus Extra, and a PC which I sometimes use for Xbox Gamepass. Based on the games available on both services I’d recommend PlayStation. Xbox seems stalled out despite their insatiable appetite for acquisitions, so the prospect of new release first party games isn’t that enticing. I’ve really enjoyed some of the indie games on gamepass, like Sable, Cocoon and Jusant, but they aren’t exactly kid bait. At the base of my recommendation is that PlayStation has better exclusives, though your kids will probably just end up using it for Fortnite.
