8·2 days agoSince tape trading, for me. Don’t invent the means to copy the media if you don’t want the media copied.
No one ever employ this user in medicine or food service.
People tend to annoyingly keep living unless someone stops them.
3·3 days agoI want to say that they’d be a legal loophole in favor of the citizen…but I think we can all guess which way the chips would fall if we were to actually try and exploit such a loophole in the current political climate.

Too bad the Supreme Court ruled years ago that complete 4th Amendment protections don’t apply to areas within 100 miles of a US border, including coastline…
(Fun fact: the vast majority of the US population lives there. All of Florida, all of Maine, most of California, etc etc etc)

These are not off-the-cuff comments. Somewhere behind the veneer of stupidity, more and more members of the current government are pushing the need to imprison or conscript larger and larger swathes of the US population.

2·7 days agoThe truth of the matter is that American manufacturing is still dying, despite the orange baby’s promises to rebuild it.
The country doesn’t need a thousand more AI focused software engineers. It needs welders, electricians, machinists, and other manufacturing tradespeople.
10·8 days agoCan confirm. I was an avid 90s Star Trek convention attendee, and got to hear a couple quick Bab5 anecdotes from him years ago.
Walter Koenig was a great Chekov, but his role as Bester the PsyCop from Babylon 5 was a more nuanced role that gave him way more to do.
And conversely, someone who, either through general disposition, trauma, or other causes, shows little emotion at a verdict doesn’t somehow deserve that verdict less because of a limited reaction.
Emotions have nothing to do with facts and have no place in an impartial system of justice.
They can’t lay any blame on you if they never see you again.
