If they stood to lose $40K, I have to wonder how much The Kennedy Center stands to lose? How much did they lose from the Jazz cancelation? How much will they lose for each show that cancels?

I wonder how long it will take before it occurs to The Kennedy Center board that restoring the sign to what it is legally supposed to say may also restore people’s interest in attending events at The Kennedy Center. But functionally I bet there is a window of opportunity here, as the longer this goes on, the more damage to the reputation of The Kennedy Center will occur. People, performers and audiences will move on to another venue pretty quickly, I suspect.

Kyle Rittenhouse is that one. Just a coincidence, afaik

“specifically thanking the State Department’s Joe Rittenhouse, a senior adviser on consular affairs and former Trump presidential campaign worker, for his help.”

Very interesting.

Do not fear The Darkness!

Congratulations!! Sounds like you are committed. I hope you can make it work!

I guess I, not surprisingly, have my own doubts about anything this administration says publicly, given the daily mendacity from the GOP and specifically the executive branch.
"Butler has doubted the sincerity of Trump’s concern for the nation’s Christians due to his administration’s denial of entry for Nigerian refugees, as well as virtually every other refugee group, with the exception of white South Africans.

Plot twist, the bride is transfem.

Greggy moved a whole lot more people, and the evidence is more extensive.

There are two kinds of studies I really enjoy. 1. Some wildly unexpected result in a classic field. Rare. 2. Quantification of some phenomenon in greater detail, which confirms current understanding. Happens all the time. Love it the most.

I’m just quoting the article. Sounds like you have more to add, care to comment on what IS ‘the real factor’?

Yea! Stop the Slop!

ok. And actions taken by Tina Peters are also destructive to society. Do you think my repeating that ‘pithy line’ is anywhere near as bad as the crimes that Tina Peters has been convicted of? It seems like you are hung up on this one line, and ignoring Peters’ crimes, which are the subject of OP’s post. Would it make you happier to make another post about the horrible nature of the private prison system in the US? It certainly would be more effective in furthering your goal of bringing attention to the problems posed by private prisons.

She did the crime, has no remorse, and would probably do it again. Read what the Justice Barrett had to say about her.
And yeah, it’s a stupid pithy line, but it applies to her. I’m not talking, nor was OP talking about the unjust nature of private prisons, which is well known and in need of fixing. You’ve tried to muddy the waters, by bringing up the ‘private, for profit, corporate prisons’, which is another unrelated but none the less extremely serious problem in the US today.
Nice, keep pushing!
