You’re missing the point. Yes, of course if you have the cash or credit you will buy your insulan rather than dieing. Some people don’t have it and will try to do without and some of them will die. The fact is, morally, it shouldn’t be an issue at all.

The second is watchable but is worse as an adaption.
The events in the first book are concluded in it. It’s not a trilogy adaption of Dune the book. Many of the characters have their actions and motivations swapped onto other characters. The ending changes some significant points. Feels like the third movie might end up being a freestyle attempt to start a “Dune Universe” IP rather than caring about the source material.
It’s kind of a mess but still fun in some bits. Not sure if I’ll bother to watch the third when it comes out.

The first book I really enjoyed. The second was good. It started sliding downhill quickly from there… So much stuff needed to be either cut or at least re-written! His wife was his editor. She was a professional, but I feel like she didn’t have the heart to be tough on him. Or possibly he felt he didn’t have listen to her like he would an editor he wasnt married to… Could have been a great series with another draft or two. One of the rare instances of the movie versions being better than the books.
