Yeah it is rather funny the more I read it. Like, just copy the article language or paraphrase it quickly. Reminds me of reading state ballot measures in the us.

11·2 days agoAs a math enjoyer, I’m saddened by your reminder that basic numeracy is not a given in the us. I let myself forget that for a while.

21·2 days agoI wonder if it would cause political apathy in the us at least. It is comforting to think, problem solved, and ignore wealth inequality until the tension again sufficiently increases so as to be unnoticeable.
I wish you could somehow send this to every single reddit account as a private message replacing the word this with the word everything. I don’t use reddit anymore, but they need to hear it.

World News@lemmy.ml•Could we have a rule that prohibits commenting about Media Bias Fact Check?
11·2 days agoStop. You are not entitled to tedious explanations of everything. You are abusing the good will of the members of this community. Many users have been exhaustingly comprehensive in answering your questions, but you insist on being dismissive, obtuse, and lazy. It is clear that you’re trolling. I hate to consider the alternative and how it reflects on your behavior, so I’ll give you the benefit the doubt.Edit: whoops, I forgot I was reading a month-old thread. So, I added a strikethrough to the word “stop” since this conversation was over until I showed up.

11·3 days agoI see that you think you’re Morgan freeman in se7en, but you are NOT Morgan freeman in se7en, and ghost_laptop ain’t Brad Pitt in se7en. I hope you had fun with your little trolling spree in this thread.
The comment you replied to is just “not all men!,” but group-flavored. You’re right to call it whataboutism.
Class analysis and racism are the same, folks. I too am shocked, but you can’t lie on the Internet, so here we are.
It says:
She was the first South Korean director who was allowed to visit North Korea after Korean War without being charged for treason by South Korea, because she has a German passport. She gave up South Korean citizenship and took the German one just for making this documentary and getting a visa and the permission of shooting from North Korea
The phrasing is a bit odd, but the reference goes to a DW article, the subheading of which is:
A new film made by Sung-Hyung Cho attempts to give outsiders an insight into life in North Korea. The director, who even had to give up her South Korean nationality to shoot the film, spoke to DW about the project.

Memes@lemmy.ml•Gotta love the irony of the US openly becoming everything it accused the DPRK and China of being
41·3 days agoWell to be fair, the Dems are still somewhat pretending. Fewer people are buying it.
I was just being pedantic really sry
Have you looked into the “demonstrators” they clashed with? If not, you may find that particularly telling. You know how the usian media acts like every protest is a bloody clash where cops are being overwhelmed and murdered? Well, this was that, for real.
I support unarmed cops, and I support “clashing” with citizens who start killing them.
So you and I watch memento like, how is this interesting? Doesn’t everyone live like this?
Yeah, you’re right. You and other user must agree on terms and on what you already agree on first.
I saw they had a similar experience of talking past each other with cowbee. They might be a particularly articulate wrecker, but I didn’t want to jump straight there.

21·3 days agoYup. This admin is just so blatant that it embarrasses the liberals. I finally figured that out. The concern with appearances combined with a lack of principles is my new razor for understanding liberalism. I’m embarrassed I didn’t realize this when I was younger.

11·3 days agoIt’s not that you don’t belong, it’s that you engage in rhetorical strategies that are emotionally abusive while writing apologia for nazis.
It’s just the paradox of tolerance. If we tolerate Nazi apologia, that’s all the site will become (just like Twitter). If I were a mod, your comments defending musk’s Nazi salute would be deleted and you would be permanently banned, but I’m not a mod. So, I’m asking nicely.
