  • The ironic thing is the human body runs on fat and a huge portion of our illness stems from the insane amount of sugar we consume.

Summary: In 1984 our group published the first modern study of the effects of adapting to a low carbohydrate high fat diets on athletic performance. I have spent the next 31 years expanding on this research. In my presentation I will present the results of that research program and conclude with our exciting new evidence for the role of low carbohydrate diets and ketosis in the prevention of whole body inflammation in athletes training daily at very high loads. I will also present evidence to show that elite ultra-endurance athletes have an unexpectedly high capacity to oxidize fat during exercise and so potentially to run at fast paces for prolonged periods without the need to ingest exogenous fuels.

  • That’s the long and short of it. Your average American has the functional understanding of a five year old because they don’t know what they haven’t been taught which is most of everything.

You ask a first grade class if they want ice cream for breakfast and they will basically never say no.

They want it because it makes them happy without understanding what makes them healthy.

Most people are level 1 Skyrim characters and only understand explicitly what they level up by doing… Which is usually as little as possible.

Many facets of society have been turned into Skinner boxes that reward people dopamine for doom scrolling, isolating, or being angry.

Even if one wants to argue the downfall of society was accidental and not malicious, those in power never really seemed to do anything but make shit worse regardless.

Even if the system is working as designed… This is the fucking end result and inspires no hope there won’t be a world wide economic collapse.

  • Yes.

In the short term not much will change and no one will react. By the time they want to react, they’ll play into a fascist crackdown.

Look into the Business Plot. This is basically the result of a century of planning between business interests and religious fanatics with too much money.

As long as capitalism is propagandized as a good thing, civilization will continue to face this issue of the few exploiting the many.

Do you believe every human deserves the same rights and dignities? It’s not possible to make a cell phone without relying on slave labor in the supply chains.

Profit is unpaid labor. As long as we normalize giving at the profits to those that already have everything, civilisations will continue to implode until one makes a mistake of such hubris everyone dies. Look at PFAS. One day we will unleash something we can’t contain and we’ll be dead before we can detect it or treat it.

Our species simply will not survive because we’re too eager to shit where we sleep just so we don’t have to walk all the way to the bathroom.

  • Think of the county as a car driving towards a cliff.

Republicans want to stomp on the gas and roll coal to trigger libs.

Sure, Democrats UNDERSTAND the “concerns” of pollution and driving off a cliff, but they also have to be sensitive to the desires of their oil donors and constituents that work in refineries, so they feel obligated to reach across the aisle to push the gas a little to keep $XOM over $100.

The news blames the Dems for the car slowing down. No one wants to rock the boat by stopping the car from going off the cliff. Attack anyone that considered reversing for being a socialist because capitalism needs us to buy a new car after we crash this one.

Leftists and the third world are in the trunk.

  • I would argue both more than readily pay for themselves just based off three data points.

    1. Food stamps alone provide an immediate 170% return in economic activity. This doesn’t factor in the benefit of addressing malnutrition or second hand factors like stress from scarcity or poverty PTSD. People without money can’t participate. Giving them food money is a net cascade of good.

    2. The post office is one of the most sophisticated, accomplished, amazing, shoe string budget endeavors of humanity and despite constant right wing sabotage of both flavors still out performs private alternatives in terms of cost and performance with headcount. Making the post office not only a community credit union but a regional job board hub would be minor in terms of the staggering return in two generations.

    3. I’m on the board of a municipal utility. Our private competition will raise rates 15-25% to our 4-6%. We don’t spend millions in advertising, we actually are pushing the gm to add head count because we fear burn out, we as a board give raises better than we got at our jobs, but they’re still making under private sector- but our every service metric is superior.

The biggest problems with most systems are wholly intentional sabotage to justify further undermining programs that cost rich people money and make poor people more self sufficient.

It would be real easy to make a block chain based committee forum used for everything from local ordinances and sourcing legislation to sharing recipes and electing leaders. It’s becoming less true, but Reddit is great for having the right person that can identify the vintage of the wine simply based off the cork in the dude’s butthole.

Crowd sourcing information gets better the more capable the crowd. Our nation has been sabotaging education for decades specifically because they don’t want literate masses.

Ultimately, the most significant impediment to either isn’t funding; it’s the fascists in power that spent the last century working towards a gullible and economically desperate working class Molotov they could chuck at FDR’s legacy.

Ubi is the opposite of their goals and work camps will keep everyone plenty busy.

  • Something like 80% of all theft at this point is unpaid wages.

You have to understand that a system that calls corporations people is inherently violent. Profit is unpaid labor, so the existence of a tax code that not only allows -but celebrates and defends- billionaires is class warfare. If you steal $1000 from a store, the police show up. If the store steals $1000 from your paycheck the police tell you to get a lawyer with a $5k retainer. The store’s existence isn’t hampered by the $1,000 while most families would be ruined without out.

However, the only instance of the crime the system cares about is the one against the corporation.

Corporations are the only people that don’t have to worry about eating. Corporations are the only people that don’t have hands for handcuffs. Corporations are the only people the law cares about.

Corporations own the media. Corporations own the red ones. Corporations own the blue ones. Corporations own the food. Corporations are eager to own everything the DNC will meet the RNC half way in privatizing.

We are here because infinite money now equates to infinite speech. We as individuals have ever less speech because we have ever less money. Unions are being crippled now and soon protesting itself will become a crime against the state.

It will be a crime to speak out. It will be a crime to be different. It will be a crime to work too slow or think too much.

When every notion of freedom becomes a crime, crime becomes our only freedom.

    Ready Player 2 mother fuckers.
