This is a completely different and bigger problem than the culprits being ex army. For starters, they’re also ex-convicts, which i think is a more accurate indicator of being a child abuser. But secondly, there’s a fucking child rape industry - a “shadpw care system,” as the article puts it - and the article just briefly mentions thst like “yeah that’s just something thst happens in a socoety like ours, can’t be helped”
Maybe the headline should be “Child rapists control the entire framework for looking after vulnerable children”

Good. How can i let them know i approve? Big blimpf flying past the hospital saying “fuck palantir, big up the NHS”?

Off with his head

Okay i’ve seen several articlws on prevent now, which makes me think the government is gearing up to do away with it. Given thst they claim to have got rid of non-crime hate incident policing.

RaTW: The starting gun is in Sicily
Glad they’re going through europe again, i think europe-asia or europe-africa gives a more interesting journey than staying in one continent

Ouch

Lmao, yeah the Ideologies at play here are 1. Believing in equal access to healthcare, which a genocidal AI company like Palantir will NEVER BE ABLE TO FULFILL properly, and 2. An opposition to AI because we believe in not letting robots steal human jobs

I don’t use an adblocker on this device and the article was full of AI-gen adverts of old people exposing themselves to me :(

So often it’s impossible to defend labour

See I get why people have surnames like fisher and pilch but surnames like herring suggest they dveloped some sort of system where different fishermen had to focus on one particular species. Would suck to be the guy who is assigned ‘carp.’
Salmon makes sense because maybe a river or lake fisher would be known by the salmon they sell.
Votes are public (on your instance) but this isn’t reddit, so I just downvote things to indicate when incorrect information or bad attitude is on them (and people do the same to me and that’s fine). I suppose things are different on piefed, which has some psuedo-karma system, but that’s the outlier.
A large benefit of lemmy in general is that we can vote without it being a kick in the balls to someone’s experience on the site. Because no karma system.
He’s saying “ummmm” because we actually already do that. Fun fact :).
And we use different colours for each note.
But BTW, why the hostility to our… currency? Are you like a very patriotic IRS agent or something? Our currency isn’t any more broken or extra forgeable than any other country’s. I think you’ve extrapolated too much from seeing people bring up the occurence of forgeries on this one post.

Wow sounds like the government should help the police out by promising not to invade iran as soon as possible (would be nice to hear someone other than Kier Starmer say it, since a promise from him means NOTHING)
On the plus side - in this instance - many say that large protests such as this will only ever occur in support of the government’s position. i.e they have the power to prevent ANY protest from happening before it has finished organising. “Iron Law of oligarchy” et cetera

The British government in the year 3000 when a clerical error at 4Chan HQ leads to them panicking and actually paying this fine (They forgot what it was for)

you’re behaving a bit childish. Also - gross.

Are we serious, dude? Why are they suggesting i do it in this order?
“Start in northumbria, go all the way to bristpl and then teleport to the other side of wales”
Looks like one should start in the #8 or #7 stretch if they want to actually continuously circumnavigate the edges of england.

Tbh it literally doesn’t matter what he says because he goes back on everything after 1-2 days, trying to play both sides. He only stops when something new pops up for him to comment on, then he flip flops back and forth on that too.
I’m gonna be negative. NONE of that looks medieval. It looks more medieval in its current form. Unless medieval people uawd permanent bulky wooden stalls with irregular angular woodworking, and i didn’t realise it.
