I use those little sticky page marker tabs and then go back later (usually while I’m watching TV) and highlight the sections I marked. I do this every 10 markers or so and when I’m done with the book go back and reread the passages I highlighted. I only do this with nonfiction though
I try to read 20 pages a day. Don’t always make it but that’s my running daily goal
I had a lot of fun reading it but there were some things I had to do double takes at. One in particular I got a laugh at from the person who recommended it to me was that with all the world building in the story there’s an in-world word for “birth control” but not “clit.” Another thing was there would be these high stakes scenes where something is life and death and the next chapter is “damn I’m tryna get my guts painted” like wow lady you have some real issues with coping with danger.
I seldom bring this up but damnit I like the Lord of the rings movies more than the books
