Shout out to the 80+ hours of Civ 4 for giving me the answers for gold
I could see Starmer’s Labour doing this for sure; they don’t want another Jeremy Corbin again, and are doing their best to rid the party of outspoken ‘leftists’.
What a cool and normal country we have.
I really liked Spooks as a young person, I wonder if I would like it now as a fully grown adult who’s opinions of police and authority have…changed
I’m proud of Southampton! Only 10 shitheads, and hundreds of anti-racists. Good showing everyone
How common is it to have a laptop with 2 batteries?
Risky pissky
Is it lazy of me to suggest showing nuked releases as a percentage of the groups total releases?
It’s funny you should say that, because my local council are currently struggling to collect bins. They haven’t collected to bins for the cafe that’s attached to my workplace for about 2 weeks now. It’s getting grim.
Well done! Keep up the good work.
How many cultural advisors does one band need?
Same here. Well, actually I moved away from Fedora to Endeavour and it happened to coincide with KDE6. First time on KDE I a long time, and I really like it now.
I used to work at a library, and about 10% of the books had a pleasing aroma, and the other 90% smelled like literal ass.
I used to climb loads about a year ago, and I was doing quite well, for my standards at least. I enjoyed bouldering, lead-climbing and trad.
Unfortunately I had to take a break for mental health reasons. Now I want to get back into it again, I am finding every time I go I am just getting so frustrated with how hard I find things now. But it’s not that I’m finding it hard, I don’t mind not completing a difficult problem, it’s that I am genuinely struggling to even start some of these climbs, and it’s so demoralising.
The only climbs I can climb at the moment are the very easiest in the gym, their first level of climbs. But they are sooooo easy that I get very little satisfaction from them.
Again, I apologise for the rambling post, I just needed to vent or I think I’d cry
Anything, or anyone, that speaks positively of ‘Coddling of the American Mind’ should be approached with extreme scepticism.
An interesting resource for people looking to combat shit like this is the podcast ‘If Books Could Kill’.
I don’t nessecirily always agree with the hosts’ wider takes on things, but their reading of these types of books is pretty spot on.
The report this article is based on is actually called “On Thin Ice: Disproportionate Responses to Climate Change Protesters in Democratic Countries”
The title of the article is a bit misleading including the term “rich countries”, especially as that term is not used once in the article.
In my mind measuring the level of democracy is harder than the wealth of a nation.
