vor 17 TagenI’ve been doing research into the German rights to strike, civil disobedience and resistance (the german constitution actually grants a right to resistance if the constitution is threatened), and it has been an interesting rabbit whole to go down, especially considering how hostorically resistance in the third reich took long to actually be viewed as such and not as treason by the population. I’m now reading up on Pacifism. Thinking these two together seems very relevant.

I noticed something similar. Mamdani’s success in New York was largely attributed to him focusing on economic issues, not cultural ones. I’m not american, so I cannot speak to that, but anecdotally, in my circles alot of people started to adopt that kind of rhetoric pretty openly: Social Justice needs to wait until we get Economic Justice. I feel the key failure is to see both as seperate entities. I agree that focusing economic issues is a winning strategy, but it is not either or. Social Justice is Economic Justice. Alot of my Queer Comerades have been very vocal about this from the start, and now they are told to hold back, because it is no longer opportune to support them vocally. It breaks my heart honestly
