Old man and the Sea. I found the book annoying to read. It was simple sentence structure after simple sentence structure after simple sentence structure. Nobody talks like that, nobody wants to read that. It was a chore to read, and I’ve read Great Expectations unabridged. Otherwise the story was fine for what it wanted to convey, even though it’s maybe still a bit too “artsy”

Michele Dockery did a great job as Susan.

I really enjoyed the Hogfather adaptation Michele Dockery (known for Denton Abby) did a fantastic job as Susan. She plays unflappable really well

Doesn’t he use something like a limited omniscient narrator? I read it a lot, but havent paid attention to the style per se. There’s a lot of ideas but they don’t all work in dialogue. Also the lack of chapters hinders scene development.
