I live out in the boonies, aka county. The only wired we could get when we moved out here was DSL, so we went to the normal satellite waiting on Starlink. But I found out about 4G internet resellers, so much better than sat. Went from 25mbs with a hard 20gig cap to 200mbs with a soft (reprioritised) 50gig cap. But where the two towns on either side of me are still having issues with the old copper cable, the cable company pulled fiber to us. Now they are working through the town.
Now on the note of all the splitters inside that does mess with things. Last place I lived and several friends I have helped them fox the issue. And clean up their cables runs. Had a friend go from 200mbs to the full gig he was paying for. It was cause of all the splits and old cables.
