I forget how old she is, but even if she’s in her 30’s it’s not too uncommon to be a bit immature about how men treat you if you’re inexperienced. Some of these women I just want to grab and shake them awake, because I’ve either been there or seen others who have. She may have also been experiencing a bit of limerence (which I think a lot of these couples do) – in that in the time apart while waiting for this Visa she has all these fantasies about how it will be, that he’s clearly not living up to. On top of all that, she feels like she has a time sink, as she mentioned in the last episode – a lot of people will stay just because they don’t want to feel like they wasted their time / money in someone for it to not work out. Unfortunately, that often leads to more waste.
