There’s also valetudo to make sure it never calls home
You make some excellent points and I agree with everything you say. I would just like to point out the convenience factor of having someone cook the eggs for you.
At home, I cook eggs for breakfast. Why? Because I’m the best at it. Why? Because I’m always the one who does it. Kind of a vicious cycle…
It’s nice when someone else does it for me, even if I could do a slightly better job myself. Simply not having to do it makes it more enjoyable
Clearly you’ve never been to hotel that has an egg chef at the buffet. Eggs cooked to perfection on demand.
That said, everyone needs more Kenji in their life!
None at all. They’ve been very reliable for the years when I’ve used them, but they’re no longer the cheapest kids on the block. I’m just wondering if I can do better now that there is more competition.
I do have a home server, but some services I want to have external, so a vps makes sense.
I’ve looked at ionos, but the reviews seem mixed. I’ve seen people complaining that their account got blocked and they demanded proof of ID before unlocking. Might be isolated cases, though, so thats why I’m looking for recommendations
This is why I left feddit.uk 😔
Even calyx with a 6 month gap in updates is better than that
I lived in the UK for a long time. My experience there a was that a good roast dinner is quite nice, but difficult to find. And when you do find one, it’s very expensive. This is something I found very odd. In most other countries, popular foods like this tend to be everywhere at a decent price.
And like you said, the variety of food available in the UK is great. I used to be able to find some pretty obscure ingredients for Asian/Mexican/whatever cuisine in any normal supermarket.
