Oh great! Thank you very much!!
also @borisentiu@feddit.org (mostly in German)

Oh great! Thank you very much!!

I know this thing with Lemmy, where you originally post without selecting a language, and once you want to edit it, it forces you to select one. Could it be language-related? I only checked the box for German. That just may not have happened before on a piefed instance? Then again, I was able to edit the sidebar afterwards.

Thank you very much for responding so lightning fast and for looking into it!

Sorry, forgot to mention: I edited things a couple times yesterday without issues. This is new.
That’s a possibility, yes. I’m going to suggest a new Community (Piefed) tomorrow, will ping them on that occasion. Thank you!

Thank you very much for your answer! Maybe it was Photon then. Since it’s limited to some frontends and only a lookalike without the same functionality as Piefed’s flairs, I rather not confuse anybody with that.
Thank you, I very much appreciate that offer! I’ll continue to look out for people interested in sharing the work and your advice would help a lot then!
Thank you for the link! I think both do and will co-exist allright. I think sooner or later there will be a German instance, so I’m rooting for sooner and for a solid foundation (like feddit.org) rather than a strenuous & vulnerable one person effort (like feddit.de…)
Zunächst mal bin ich der Herr Laymann, den du siehst… ;-) Aber ja, andere Unterstützung als technische geb ich gerne!
Feddit.org is great! But for some (potential) communities Piefed’s flairs and tags are really great, for example. I think something like that is planned for Lemmy 1.0, tho.

Just recently heard about Snowflake browser addon for sharing bandwith

I think it’s ok. Sometimes people forget that the first mastodon paragraph becomes the post title and these involuntarily bloated titles look odd.
It also would be great if following a community via Mastodon would mean receiving new posts only instead of comments too, which is annoying at least with active communities. (I mean it would be, I just don’t follow them there)
