1 year agoHatchet when I was in 4th grade. The pilot does of a heart attack almost immediately, the protagonist (a young boy) survives a violent plane crash and is forced to survive.
I didn’t think that was going to happen to me or anything, but I do remember realizing that people could just die at any moment and throw everything into chaos.
There have been plenty of others since, but that was the first.
I say this every time it comes up, but The Alchemist is Siddhartha written by Mitch Albom.
