In what way is it better performance? I have an M2 coming today- should i return it for an M1?

Also just purchased the same model today and hope to get it tomorrow. However I just found out it doesn’t support Bootcamp which I was hoping to use for dual booting Windows for a software I use for a game I play. Gutted!! Wondering is parallels would work but I’ve read that it has limitations on silicone chips such as directx so the game not play anyway.
