Yes I could see this. There’s little intrinsic motivation displayed in the students I’ve seen/taught/worked with. After 10 years in education, I left due to revolving door administration. Shelf life of a principal seems to be 3 years max, before they’re on to the next rung of their career ladder.
Oh absolutely. I started with 3rd grade, doing that for three years. Then I jumped to 5th, did that for three more. One in 7th/8th science before moving out of the classroom to a technical instructor which was awesome until the horrible admin came in. I loved those earlier years, but the school I left has gone downhill drastically.
