i think it would be more accurate so say that, often, asexuality yearns for the absence of sex, rather than being defined by it.

  • hell yeah this is peak

uh also when i started hrt i noticed i smelled a lot different, and it varies a little based on how long its been since application. in your experience does sex hormone fluctuation like actually have a noticeable effect on this too or not really? personally i’ve never really payed attention hehe

  • well, barring putting the oven itself in the transport vehicle, per food regulations you’d have two hours to work with. but, this is the united states of america, and we have a comically large military!! thus, it could be conceivable to procure one of their faster aircraft and deliver it via an air drop. with the right insulation around the pizza it would still be nice and warm enough and yummy.

of course, the only drawback is the potential of the pilot themself consuming the pizza, getting absolutely freaking STONED, and failing to deliver it in the first place. but there are certainly ways to make it more reliable!!

  • cw: talks a fair bit about sex and my perspective on it

i sometimes experience a problem myself similar in vain to this.

as much as i enjoy snuggling and affection and even more “smutty” stuff like breasts, i do not enjoy the prospect of sex. perhaps its some form of gender dysphoria, perhaps its something else, honestly not super sure. all i know is i don’t find sex appealing!! but i’m also not vehemently against it or disgusted by it. i think this article puts it really well:

i think it would be more accurate so [sic] say that, often, asexuality yearns for the absence of sex, rather than being defined by it.

with regards to nudity: the only times it actually makes me feel a little uncomfortable is when it is set in a sexual/romantic setting. if someone is at the lake with not as much as a patch of covering on them and just swimming around and having fun, i don’t mind at all. so long as its not sexualized i think nudity is perfectly okay! but, if it is brought into any romance through even just caressing the other’s hair or whatever, it puts me off a little.

again, i do like this sort of affection, i do absolutely find people attractive. i just enjoy being able to be affectionate or observe it without having to partake in/bear witness to sex!

however, a marginally decent number of people are seemingly unable to comprehend any this. quite often some people get incredibly confused no matter how much i try and explain this to them. i’ve never really been ridiculed for it thankfully, but it just does not seem to compute in some people’s heads that i am not fond of sex!!

that aside, this is thankfully one of the better places i’ve seen on the internet, and i’m glad to be here!! regardless i provide you with my best wishes when it comes to fending off the demands of the internet, and my apologies for the ramble :D

  • the instance i use does not have downvotes. i personally like this, as if someone disagrees with something, they must express that via their own words, which i find to be a lot more productive and useful!

my basis is, if the comment contributes meaningfully/helpfully to the subject at hand—whether that is via explanation, personal storytelling of something relevant, something funny or kind that makes other people smile/feel joy, among many others—then i elect to give an upvote.

if it is unintelligible to me (like a reference i don’t get), overly provocative, actively harmful (anti-vaccination stuff etc.) or otherwise not made in a real effort to contribute anything useful or interesting, then i elect not to give an upvote.

that is just my reasoning though :)

  • oh my goodness i adore this kind of stuffff

i do see the trope of “shy person can’t handle being called cute/pretty/whatever” often and it can be slightly fun in the right setting. but, whether its in real life or in a comic, i always love seeing people/creatures/etc. pleasurably taking such compliments so truly to heart.

thank you for significantly brightening both my RSS feed and so many of my days, i appreciate it immensely!!

  • from what i’ve gathered, many earlier EVs were more so “luxury” vehicles, and a lot of them were made by tesla, notorious for shoving wireless connectivity in vehicles. those other luxury EVs decided to follow suit with that!

but note that “many” i sneaked in there. there were absolutely some that weren’t spyware machines! the first that come to mind are the earlier models of the nissan leaf and chevy volt (well, there is onstar, but it is not so hard to disable), but there are certainly others. there is no valid reason for the spyware, i mean these cars easily did without it (minus again, onstar…)!

as for an electric van, i knew a (ex-)teacher who did just that! from what she said, she pulled a couple of the major drivetrain components (motor, battery, differential etc.) from a crashed nissan leaf, hooked up an aftermarket controller, and from what i heard the most fiddly parts were the charge port and getting the axles dealt with. i don’t know if she got custom axles made or if she just mashed together the axles from both vehicles, but she said it was ultimately a nice vehicle to drive around.
