Harry Potter is my most memorable because my sister and I walked out of the store after buying our books, and some douchebag drove by screaming “Snape Kills Dumbledore!” out of his car window to a sidewalk of fans. I will never forget or forgive him. LOL
I think some events are still happening, but only when a book is really huge. Iron Flame, the sequel to Fourth Wing, had midnight release parties at Barnes & Noble when it came out this month.
I try to write reviews for most of I read because I’m passionate about it, but I don’t write for every single thing. Sometimes I just don’t have anything to say and that’s okay.
Reviews are for readers, not for the author.
My book club discord server is doing our own version of the awards, and I put together a list of GN/Comics/Manga for the year. It’s a mix of what I’ve read and from looking at various best of lists so I can explore more of what was released this year too.
As of right now, my favorite of the year would be Dark Knights of Steel by Tom Taylor, and The Princess and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich by Deya Muniz.
I don’t know that there’s a specific tool for that, but there are plenty of Goodreads lists to explore. You could find familiar book titles that way. (Lists are not quality rankings. Most will “vote” for a book just to indicate that they’ve read it, so books higher up have just been read by more people.)

It depends. I also used to devour series when I was younger, but slowed down a lot as I grew older.
Sometimes I do get into a devour mindset if I’m totally enraptured by the world. Earlier this year I read the 10 book Kate Daniels urban fantasy series in about a month. This past week, I read the 5 book The Others urban fantasy series in a week. I did a Red Rising re-read last month and read the first trilogy in a week.
If I really enjoy the world, I’ll read a series all in one, but I tend to read other books at the same time in different formats and that breaks things up a bit.
