Me too!
Me too!
Not me, but my ex-husband received a book from my parents in the first year of our marriage. called, “How to Disappear Forever and Never be Found.”
They said it was meant as a joke, but…
I set a goal - and am on track - to read. 25 this year.
Last year, I read 30 and the year before I read 44, but I was reading a series each of those years, so was churning through some reads.
This year, I started Agatha Christie’s Poirot series, but only knocked out 3. Realized I like to watch them more than read them.
Colson Whitehead’s, ‘The Underground Railroad’. One of the best hooks I’ve read, but 7 years out, I still can’t get the images out of my head!
I loved Atlas shrugged and have read it 3 times, but never once have I read the Galt speech. I think I’m mesmerized by Rand’s screwed up worldview that, in practice, really messed up the lives of those around her.
This book is on my ‘to read’ list. You’ve all got me rethinking that now!
A Prayer for Owen Meany.
