I wanted to love Advent Rising so much. The premise, having Orson Scott Card involved, gameplay mechanics, ect… But it felt like hobbled tech demos stitched together. Really cool concept, but def needed time in the oven.

Feel you on that. I remember reading somewhere alot of the mechanics and such went into R6 Siege (which isn’t a replacement, but at least the dev work didn’t go to waste.)
