Absolutely not.
There are so, so many people fairly close to me. I live in an area of 1.5 million people. Even with similar culture, less constraint on time together, etc, it still took me 36 years to find “my person”. I can’t imagine the timezone difference, lack of shared culture, limited time together, or anything else would make me any happier. More power to the people that manage it, but it seems like a nightmare to me.
I have a maybe 60s/70s Longines gold dress watch. It was a family friend’s. He and I had always chatted about watches, and when he passed away a few years ago (in his 80s) his wife gifted it to me. I don’t wear it a ton, but I won’t ever get rid of it.
