I’m back after a year away. My two favourite niche interests (wrestling & fantasy books) still don’t have hugely active communities but I’ll start pitching in again with some lukewarm takes.
As a 30 something, the movie is part of my dna, but I never read the book sadly. May check it out soon though, I’m trying to get my 7 year old to read more with me atm. And that cover art is beautiful.

I don’t really keep up with WWE anymore because it’s made by rape monsters, but I do enjoy a good Rumble. This was a mostly pretty good pair of Rumbles.
Nia getting to eliminate Trish was offensive. Also I’ve always hated Charlotte so her and Nia letdown an otherwise fun match up to that point.
Happy Penta got plenty of time to shine. Felt like he held back a little on some of those Cero Miedos though. In AEW he’d shunt people across the ring by their faces.
My kids were very happy to see the I Show Speed guy.
Also not Rumble specific but god I do not like Michael Cole. I have been listening to his obnoxious bellend-ery since I was a kid, hoping he’d just go away, but here we are 20 something years later, even with Vince out of his ear, I still can’t stand him.
