I’m not usually a fan of these types of books but I get gifted a lot of them because I’m a reader who loves football. Invariably I end up reading them.
Best one for me is “Back from the Brink”, by Paul McGrath. Genuinely very, very good. The man’s life story is nuts and it’s amazing he’s still alive. What a player as well.
The clubs are some of the richest in the world. They have plenty of analysts monitoring when players are playing so many minutes that they’re likely to get hurt. Rotate the squad more often and drop some points.
