This morning I wore a Cleveland Guardians hat to lunch.
I’m not trying to disparage anyone who likes Linkin Park, but my opinion is that, in general, alt rock from the late 90s through the early 00s has aged really poorly. I used to listen to that music a ton when I was in high school and college, but I don’t anymore.
If it’s a recent picture, his tags are expired. They might care about that.
Sorry I assume everyone else has it.
Universal healthcare in the United States.
My brother in christ, I’m not talking about the pretext the government used to attack Iraq. I’m talking about the fact that the two things had nothing to do with each other.
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The fact that the government used that as a pretext doesn’t magically link the two things.
I’m not skilled enough to be able to speak to that.
Maybe I’m in the minority, but all I need is a fuse plugin. I don’t need specific syncing like a OneDrive/Google Drive app.
we were attacking a country for the president’s personal vendetta
This had nothing to do with 9/11. Invading Iraq was much later. You’re conflating the two.
“Bush did 9/11” is crazy talk. “Bush invaded Iraq because he wanted to get back at Saddam Hussein and make money for Halliburton” is not.
“Donald Trump makes me, a white christian, feel like I’m important.”
It’s unclear that they need to handle a specific flavor when they could release a Flatpak. I think the community wouldn’t have any problem tweaking the dependencies for particular distros.
My understanding isn’t even that there is a law enforcement problem there, but Republicans are going to Republican. The healthcare spending is at least a good thing.
I read that the library now has an interpreter that speaks Haitian Creole and have provided resources for the immigrants to help them learn English. Libraries are always at the forefront of this stuff. They’re amazing.
I definitely had trouble accessing the site yesterday, but I don’t know about a restore from backup. In any case, thanks to @seahorse@midwest.social and anyone else involved in the technical side for keeping the site running.
No. Cops have convinced a majority of people that they need to be able to break the law in order to protect them.
Yeah any influx of that many people in a short amount of time is going to strain the services of any smaller city, regardless if they’re Haitian or Canadian. That would even be a problem in any of the large cities of Ohio.
This lazy doctor earns more than double my salary. It’s depressing.
Wait until you find out how lazy people with inherited wealth are…and they make way more than double your salary in passive gains.
“Free speech absolutist” means “you are required to hear everything I have to say and you can’t criticize me for it.”
This is how it’s supposed to work on the Fediverse. If you don’t like an instance, you defederate. I take no position on people at lemmy.ml, but unless people are rage addicts the best thing to do is ignore instances you find objectionable.
Getting paid without having to work.
