My dude, you’re using it inside out. The excess you want to cut off tucks in below the rest of the strap, against your wrist. Disconnect both parts of the band from the watch, turn them over and reconnect them, then you’ll see.

Gigabit needs four pairs connected. If any are damaged, it’ll fall back to 100Mbps which requires only two pairs. So check your cable. An Ethernet cable tester is quite cheap but handy.
Series 7 got a screen size upgrade, and the swipeable keyboard. Series 8 and 9 don’t add all that much. I’d grab a 7 if you can. And I say that as a Series 5 owner 😄
S5, 10.1 totally screwed my battery life, could no longer last a day. Updated last night, and took my Watch off charge at 9:15 this morning and now at 21:45 I’m at 36%. Battery life is 84%. The update definitely helped and my Watch will make it to sleepy time.
Once you go 120Hz you’ll never go back. I’d say 13 Pro 👌
I’ll be honest, I’ve had my 15PM a week and I’m finding the battery life sucks. Went to the Apple Store today and they advised wiping it and setting up as a new phone. Will give that a try next, just got to back up my 2FA shit and whatnot first.
