I live on the route have used the train. I’m not an enthusiast, but it’s a beautiful piece of history.
They offer regular events, ghost trains, Santa trains, 1940s weekends where everyone dresses up in period costume. They even had a tank delivered one year and it was so heavy it ruined the high street.
Most of the staff are volunteers .
