Took me 3 years to beat witcher 3 because of this.
But yeah the side quests are making me take breaks in FFXVI. Finally got to the end of the game, thinking I’ve done everything there was to do and finally ready to go fight the big bad, only for the game to throw like 10 side quests at you right before the final level. Really broke the momentum and made me lose hype for the ending knowing that I now have to put that aside while I do some errands. You might say i don’t have to finish every single optional side quest, but we all know that isn’t true.
Literally in the same boat. Every side quest took a piece of my soul. I came here for campy Final Fantasy shit. It delivered. But by god is the side content awful
