I blame the softening of training camp and also eliminating a preseason game. Teams are less prepared on the offense which helps defenses. Also we were spoiled from the QBs of the past 20 years. I doubt we will see a league with multiple elite QBs are playing at once. Besides Mahomes (and even he hasn’t been great) we have a lot of mediocre to crap QBs.
I’d also blame the lack of patience in development. QBs like Burrow, Dak, and Stroud that came in immediately solid fooled the league into thinking everyone should be like that. Reality is it takes a little while for most to have the game slow down.
