I only own a PlayStation so I don’t have a lot of experience, but I don’t have faith in a subscription service for games. It’s a deal that is too good to be true because it is too good to be true. It would follow the same arc as movie and tv streaming has followed. It begins as a utopia of choice and availability to consumers, and then the price will go up while pulling back on content available. I’d rather just pay for the games I want to play and have them permanently in my collection. I also would rather support physical media anyway.

This. I don’t necessarily NEED the physical media but I do prefer it. It’s the sole reason I bought a disc-based PS5. I want to own my games.
