If the Falcons add depth at QB or stand pat, what would your reaction be?
I think the Falcons will win just enough to keep them out of range to draft a nice QB (barring mortgaging the future via a trade up), so that leaves a trade or FA signing. Fields looks like shit, and a lot of fans want him here, Cousins could run this offense, but is old, expensive and coming off an injury. Maybe Murray via FA? It would be so much easier if Ridder wins out and looks great doing it. I don’t know what the right thing to do is. Band-aid now via FA or start over with another rookie QB. The situation just blows.
You really are all in or nothing huh?
The poll options are awful so I won’t be using that. I don’t see Smith as the guy that’ll win us a Super Bowl based off his three years here. Ridder is a serviceable back up tier QB at best in my eyes and isn’t a long term option for the QB position. It’s hard to say at present what the play will be in the off season, but I would think and hope that they look for a new starter.
I think we should relocate to England and start Harry Kane at QB 💯🔥
There really is no middle ground for you, huh.
Girl people at the top of the twin towers didn’t face this drastic a choice
I don’t like your two options lmao.
The answer is somewhere in the middle. I’m higher on Ridder than I am Smith but really there isn’t a good solution to either.
There are so many coaching positions opening up, and so many qb needy teams that I just wonder how we upgrade at either. I really don’t love AS but who could we realistically get to replace him? Who do we replace Ridder with? This is the team Arthur and Terry built. It looks like we’ll stumble into a division win this year. I expect improvement to that as a fan next year.
If the team ends with 9+ wins and a playoff game, I think AS and Ridder get one more year with the draft being used exclusively for D-Line and a WR2. Then we can see where we are.
We keep winning too many games for a drafted QB and no free agent ones are worth the money. If we lose out from this point or something like that, then maybe things open back up but currently Williams, Maye, Daniels and even Penix are outside of our draft position. If Arizona moves off Kyler maybe we bite at that, but I don’t love that either. I certainly don’t think a 35 Kirk Cousins off an achilles moves the needle.
