Shit, I bought Coral Island and dumped a bunch of hours in it only to find out the main quest won’t be finished until next year. Fucking piece of shit devs.
I was looking forward to that game but man, why do they have to drip feed the players?? It’s so stupid, I’m not a beta tester, I want to enjoy the game.
It’s really enjoyable too. I swear they must have gone to version 1.0 just to get more money from idiots like me who thought 1.0 meant it was finished, if not bug free.
I miss games that didn’t update. If someone put out a buggy unfinished n64 game it would fail and the dev wouldn’t do that shit again. Imagine if we were on non updatable cartridge games in the internet age. Shit would have to be on point to be a success.
The game being finished before it’s released
Roadmaps are a cheap excuse to release an early access disguised as a finished game

You realise it’s an indie dev right
I have that on game pass. It’s nice but ain’t worth buying it at full price now.
Ah, I tried it out on game pass and I was wondering why it felt like an unfinished game.

It used to be sadly
I do think BG3 wouldn’t have been as good without EA
I’ve seen games for sale on steam saying they’re in “pre-alpha” stage. That’s not a game! Pre alpha is a concept with a box of assets.
I’m tired of buying unfinished, unpolished games. If I’m paying $60-$80 for a game, I expect it to be a finished product.
