I have been on hrt for 8 months and I figured it would have done something before now but I have recently had a sudden and unexpected drop in libido and I am finding it really distressing and hard to deal with, I have always been shall we say a high drive person but now its nothing other than wishing I had that because it was fun in the past but I am basically getting no enjoyment out of anything more than cuddling and I have absolutely no idea what to do because everything was going absolutely amazing until just recently but suddenly I have absolutely no drive to do it and don’t really enjoy it when I do try

I feel bad for my partner even though they insist it is fine but also I just really strongly dislike the lack of drive for and enjoyment from it

Does this get better/ will I adjust to it or is there a way to fix it

I am currently only on estradiol enanthate injections once per week every week and have been consistently for 8-9 months and this is a sudden change within the past maybe 2 weeks

Kinda rant ish but I am literally crying writing it so I’m not getting better out rn

oh also if you’re buying your stuff online, it could be that you got the “weaker stuff” (less concentrated; depends on manufacterer and type). if you have someone that gets you the stuff, you should ask them instead if you’re making the stuff from scratch then i would reccomend buying it if you can

I got it from a mutual aid group but it is Estradiol Enanthate from Open Gate Labs

It is a 10ml vial at 40mg/ml and I am taking a tenth of a ml (4mg) via the thigh once per week because that is what I had been told to start at.

Sadly I haven’t had a chance to even get my first blood test yet but I am trying to

plz dont feel alarmed tho wa ><

its usual for hormones to screw with your libido and general mood; it’s a second puberty, after all

I wasnt alarmed because it happened, I was really bothered because I assumed it taking effect on that would take less than the 8-9 months I have been on it and it was a sudden change despite no change in the dose I am doing
