The United States federal government has said loud and clear that not only are foreign visitors not wanted, they are risking their freedom by setting foot on American soil. I don’t see how anyone would be interested in visiting under those conditions who doesn’t have family or the like in the States.

“I’m telling everybody in Canada, please come. We love you, we need you, and we miss you,”

That’s not what we’re seeing from the White House, lady.

You keep seeing people say: “if you can make it to our State, we’ll make you feel at home!”

Yeah … but if we get nabbed by ICE along the way or on the streets then tough luck right?

Even IF I was willing to risk all of that. They’re still threatening Canada as if it’s a fucking joke and then it isn’t. Americans saying shit like: “hey none of this travel would be an issue if join us … … and then we’ll pillage your water, resources, taxes, and land … then strip you of your freedoms, healthcare and voting rights”.

So many people are talking about if this is all a PR issue and there aren’t REAL problems.

There’s a bridge near Detroit that is apparently easy on the Canadian side to accidentally head across the border into America. Used to be they’d just turn you around and sent you back, but I read at least one story of a guy who got detained in an American facility for a few weeks before he could back him, and all he did was take a wrong turn.

They’ve still got a 3000 per day quota, and they’ve never hit it, so they aren’t looking for excuses to NOT arrest people, even if it gets kicked later. That’s why they’ve found that something like 75% of ICE arrests have been bogus. If anything, the likelihood is that they’ll get MORE aggressive, not less.

I know too many people who willingly go to Florida like nothing is happening. I get traveling in winter but why is it always fucking Florida??? These are other queer people too!

(I’d like to propose my original country of Costa Rica as an alternative)

The United States federal government has said loud and clear that not only are foreign visitors not wanted, they are risking their freedom by setting foot on American soil.

Which makes it even more puzzling that European automotive restoration YouTubers are now moving to the US, or starting to spend extended periods of time there. Mat Armstrong literally bought a house in Florida (might’ve been in Miami proper) so he and his crew could hang out while they restore that forex scammer’s Bugatti and Sreten (M539Restorations) has been restoring a super rare E31 in Virginia for… I don’t know how long he was in the states since the videos take longer to come out than all the action itself, but it must’ve been a few weeks at least to make 3 hour-long videos.

Granted they’re all white folks, but so am I and I wouldn’t want to park my ass there while Trump’s in charge.
