    The article flirts with the truth, but in really weird ways…

    buying a new car is an increasingly baller move

    the spending that drives the economy is increasingly coming from the rich

    Not, people are struggling and broke and can’t afford anything anymore.

      You can really see it in the vacation economy. All the vacation spots have been catering to the wealthy. For example Vegas tourism is down, but profits are up. They don’t care if the average person comes, they want the few wealthy people that will ultimately spend more. It really sucks and I wonder how long this gilded age will last.

        Until there is class war in the USA. Even if the economy crashes, which it might the capitalist class will be bailed out by the government.

          Yeah, I truly believe that now. Back in 2016 I thought we could avoid that with a Bernie type. Now I fear we’re too far gone and need a revolution.
