The T1 is not exactly this device; from the article I get the impression it’s built from the same plans, but in a different factory. It’s fairly common for any smaller batches produced mobile devices to be a bit slow to develop & hit the market. It’s still a grift and a rip-off, but the phone having been on the market for just under 2 years is not the worst part.
