Norway has a lot of wealth because they have oil. They sell the oil and invest it into stock markets globally. But you call a country that’s wealthy from oil and stock markets a “socialist” country LOL.
I’ve been to Cuba. Have you ever been there? I met a doctor that got paid ~35 USD per month. Per month. It costs ~25 USD to take a taxi to the airport. Taxi drivers make way more money than doctors in Cuba because taxi drivers have access to hard currency from non-communist countries. The government buildings are immaculate in Cuba, while the people live in poverty.
You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about and are resorting to childish insults now. Obviously you know that you’re wrong.
Your argument is that we don’t have any oil? Well that’s certainly very stupid. So either we have lots of oil and we that’s not a problem or we don’t have enough oil and investing into it is incredibly stupid. Which is it? Norway is also more socialist and those socialist policies are working well for those people. I know reading is hard, but try to keep up.
Yes, Cubans live in a bad state. Doesn’t have anything to do with the crushing embargos put in place by the most capitalist country, though, right? And even without a profit motive their medical field is still doing really well in terms of actual research and developement.
You’re responding to anything I’m saying, you’re just hoping that I’m as stupid as you are and that I’ll fall for your cheap deflections. Pathetic, truly.
Your argument is that socialism only works in oil rich countries?
Oil is on it’s way out. It’s not a long term plan to build a system that depends on massive resource wealth. Especially when using that resource destroys the planet.
Cuba doesn’t have oil. That apparently fits with your ideal world where countries with oil wealth are nice socialist utopias, and those that don’t… well they just can’t afford socialism I guess? Or maybe they get abused by a country dominated by the corporations the petro-socialist states invest their sovereign wealth into?
That’s not at all what I said. I was talking about Carney’s sovereign wealth fund as an example where he’s acting like it’s the same as Norway’s sovereign wealth fund but while they are using it actually enrich their citizens the one we have is just handing private O&G companies taxpayer money.
Look, you seem to really struggle with this whole reading thing so I’m gunna go. Do me a favour and never stop reminding yourself of how fucking stupid you are.

You do know which country Norway’s sovereign wealth fund is invested in, don’t you? Here’s a clue: https://www.nbim.no/en/investments/all-investments/
Wait, the Soviet Union had a lot of oil wealth, why did that collapse? It seems not even petro-socialism always works.
Petro-socialism, that is certainly a creative ideology I must say.
