Honestly, I like Pulaski. Until she called Data Data, that went too far. His name is Data, not Data. That’s just insulting. It’s like called an Andrea Andrea, it’s just rude.

Pulaski comes across as abrasive because a substantial amount of her dialog is recycled from lines that were originally written for Dr. McCoy. That whole interaction is extremely reminiscent of the ways Bones would try to start fights with Spock.

I hate how this makes sense.

It also bugs me that read rhymes with lead, and read rhymes with lead, but read doesn’t rhyme with lead.

I didn’t mind Pulaski. Beverly Crusher can sometimes have too much of a goodie goodie house wife vibe.

Watching this show for the first time and I’m at s2e10 or so. Pulaski has negative charisma but she feels completely believable as a doctor.

Doing my first full TOS watch now. It’s a trip when she shows up in TOS. Majel Barrett too.

Riker could have gone for a real power move in the last panel:

“That was a compliment, Doctor. You’re the beard here. And yes”.
